Brand-New Private Photo Workshop in France

with Paolo De Faveri

La Courtine, Etretat
La Courtine, Etretat

If you’ve been following my work for a while, you know I’m always searching for places that speak—locations where light, history, and atmosphere come together in a way that pushes us to grow as photographers.

That’s exactly why I’m incredibly excited to introduce something completely new.

This isn’t just another addition to my calendar. It’s a destination I’ve carefully chosen, explored, and crafted into a photographic experience from the ground up—designed to inspire you, challenge you, and elevate your vision.

Why Normandy? Why now?

Normandy is raw, poetic, and endlessly photogenic. It’s a place where dramatic coastlines meet centuries of history, where weather changes in minutes, and where light can turn an ordinary scene into something unforgettable.

But more importantly—it’s a place that invites you to slow down and see.

This new workshop follows the same philosophy that defines all my experiences: small groups or one-to-one guidance, immersive field sessions, and hands-on post-processing learning that helps you truly evolve as a photographer.

If you’ve already joined me in Italy, you’ll recognize the approach. If you haven’t—this is a perfect place to start.

The locations you’ll photograph

Normandy is rich and varied, and I’ve selected locations that offer both iconic views and hidden gems. You’ll have the chance to build a diverse, powerful portfolio.

📍 Mont-Saint-Michel A dreamlike island rising from the tides—perfect for long exposures, mood, and storytelling.

📍 Étretat Cliffs Towering arches and white cliffs sculpted by the sea and loved by Monet—ideal for dramatic compositions and changing light.

📍 D-Day Beaches Minimal, emotional landscapes where history and silence shape your images.

📍 Honfleur A charming harbor town full of reflections, colors, and intimate scenes, and the stunning Pont de Normandie.

📍 Bayeux and Caen Cobblestone streets, half-timbered houses, and the magnificent cathedrals (plus the famous Tapestry Museum for indoor detail shots).

📍 Fécamp, Barfleur and La Hague Medieval churches, rugged coastlines, fishing ports, and the towering lighthouses of Gatteville and Goury.

📍 Normandy Countryside in the area known as "La Suisse Normande" Rolling fields, textured skies, and that unmistakable French rural atmosphere—perfect for developing your personal vision.

Each location is chosen not just for beauty, but for what it can teach you.

Every day starts early (50–60 minutes before sunrise), includes relaxed breaks in traditional bistros, and ends with golden-hour or even night photography when conditions are right.

As usual, I will provide full-time in-the-field tutoring, filter techniques, composition mastery, and at least one 2-hour image-processing session using Lightroom and Photoshop.

More than a photo tour

Like all my workshops, this experience is about much more than “taking pictures.”

You’ll learn how to:

  • Refine your composition in real-world conditions

  • Master light in unpredictable environments

  • Develop a consistent visual style

  • Improve your post-processing workflow

A workshop designed for you

Whether you’re an experienced photographer or still shaping your style, this workshop adapts to you.

I keep groups intentionally small—or work one-to-one—so I can give you the attention you need. This is not about rushing from location to location. It’s about understanding what you’re doing and why.

Because the goal isn’t just better photos. It’s a better way of seeing.
